BuildBetter launches Signals

Earlier this year, BuildBetter added Signals that allows users to extract actionable insights from their internal and external calls.

Before Signals, users had to manually sift through hours of call recordings, customer interactions such as tickets or emails, and other notes to identify key insights, feedback, and sentiment. This process was time-consuming and prone to human error. For instance, some users have mentioned that teams struggled with organizing and analyzing feedback from numerous onboarding calls, synthesizing the data, and transforming it into something actionable and impactful, which affected their ability to improve their training programs effectively.

Now, with Signals, users can automatically extract and categorize insights from their meetings, calls, and other customer interactions, making it easier to identify trends, customer feedback, and areas for improvement. For example, users an now quickly filter feedback and complaints, generating user stories and PRDs without manually going through each call recording.

Additionally, the true value comes with pairing the Signals data with other BuildBetter features, such as Documents and Playlists, which allow users to group insights in categories and generate artifacts and outputs.

Due to the increased processing, Signals will only be available on paid plans by request. Once enabled, they can access the Signals dashboard, where they can view and filter insights extracted from their recorded calls.

How can I get started?

Signals is found within the app in the left-nav under Signals. If it is not enabled for your account yet, you can request access directly from that page.

  1. How much does this feature cost?
    1. The Signals feature is included in the standard subscription and may have some increased usage fees
  2. Will other data integration be supported in Signals?
    1. Yes, Signals supports integrations with Slack, Gong, Kustomer and Intercom, with more integrations planned for the future. If there’s any data source you’d like added, please let us know at support@buildbetter.ai
  3. Can the Signal extractions be used as 'triggers'?
    1. We are working on this now! Users will be able to use extractions to power automated workflows and actions, such as automatically taking all feature requests and doing automatic actions within BuildBetter or even sending them to 3rd party integrations such as JIRA, Slack, Notion, and so on.
  4. When I add a new integration, can I import historical data as well?
    1. By default, it will only start ingesting data from the moment you enable, but we can backfill historical data at your request.
